great post about Nauremir! Ugh, I think most people have that nightmare of being buried alive ...

I have just posted (as Rian has pointed out ) for Nauremir and Tarniel. As for Nauremir's "premature burial"... I think this quote from Edgar Alan Poe pretty much describes what he's feeling: "It may be asserted, without hesitation, that no event is so terribly well adapted to inspire the supremeness of bodily and of mental distress, as is burial before death. The unendurable oppression of the lungs -- the stifling fumes from the damp earth -- the clinging to the death garments -- the rigid embrace of the narrow house -- the blackness of the absolute Night -- the silence like a sea that overwhelms -- the unseen but palpable presence of the Conqueror Worm -- these things, with the thoughts of the air and grass above, with memory of dear friends who would fly to save us if but informed of our fate, and with consciousness that of this fate they can never be informed -- that our hopeless portion is that of the really dead -- these considerations, I say, carry into the heart, which still palpitates, a degree of appalling and intolerable horror from which the most daring imagination must recoil. We know of nothing so agonizing upon Earth -- we can dream of nothing half so hideous in the realms of the nethermost Hell."

Elfhild, great post about Tarniel... and especially about Nauremir. You have always proved an apt pupil of your old mentor. ;D

Great posts, Elfhild, I love them both! - and thank you for posting! Now, Serenoli , perhaps you would care to post for Hurgon and the company's reaction to the pounding and shreaks coming from the coffin? I know you are brilliant at writing humorous scenes! Pleeese!

It is in the middle of the second page - there was a place-holder.

Great posts, indeed, Elfhild, and Rian! I'm so glad to see the reappearance of Caelen... interesting, both Arinya and Tarniel leap to the same conclusions about Hillmen involved with the Glorfindel murders. I suppose the tutor's views rubbed off on the pupil, eh? Hey, Gordis, thanks for the praise... I was going to post anyay, only I wasn't sure about what. This provided a good opening. Ball's in your court now. Elfhild, hope you don't mind I included a few extra words to Nauremir. No one except Hurgon heard them though...

Great post, Serenoli - very funny indeed! May I ask for one little change? Gimilbeth was riding the bay stallion at the head of the procession, not sitting in her wagon. So please, adjust it. I see you have decided to make Nauremir wake up during the first day's ride.I have adjusted my story to yours, cutting the last part from tmy last post of page 2, reposting this bit again after yours and continuing on. I hope it is OK. Elfhild, Serenoli - any edits? Some explanation may be needed: "Hel" means ice, while "Naur" means fire. So Gimilbeth changed Nauremir's name to its opposite. I wonder, will he feel gratitude? ;D

Serenoli, Elfhild and Gordis, all the posts have been great. While I was reading Gordis', I was reminded of Queen Beruthiel for some reason. I can just imagine the legends that would come down in the future about the witch Gimilbeth.

I have corrected as requested, Gordis. What a truely Gimilbethian post that was... Tarniel was very right about there always being something to pay for if you deal with witches! I fancy neither Nauremir nor Hurgon would adapt very well to their new roles... oh, sorry, Helmir. Poor thing, he must be awfully confused right now.
