OK, so after Duilin makes his post, i'll just gush a bit more, blah blah blah ;D and this is a life-changing experience for Vorondariel because she decides then and there that someway, somehow, she is *staying* at Amon Sul! She is going to try to sneak back up there alone, at some point. Maybe, maybe she'll get into some trouble and need to be gotten out of it Just don't hurt her.

I'm happy to write a post, but I'd like to have Duilin there legitimately, rather than sneaking around. The original idea, I think, was that Beleg was going to be the one to get them up into the tower in the first place, that Herunarth would be with Beleg, and that Duilin is posing as Herunarth's servant and would accompany him. I'm not sure how to get him up otherwise.

I'm not sure how to get him up otherwise. So the question is to Val. Are you willing to write a Beleg-Herunarth post (how they go to the roof with Gandalf and Voronwen)? Or, if you have no time/inspiration for it, do you allow Duilin to "take Beleg along" with Herunarth and describe how the boys climbed the tower for sight-seeing purposes only - followed by Duilin (who might have worse purposes)? Do you need me to take down my last post so you can post something? I suggest we re-arrange posts later, if needed.

Gordis - Earniel has cooked up something that would get Beleg interested in going up top. I think Duilin could write it and that Beleg could 'bring him along'. It should come after Earniel gets up a coming Sulawen post.
Duilin - Beleg will have some information about the plans in mind for him and Tarniel. If Herunarth sees him starting up that way, he could ask about it - and if he could join. Beleg would be hesitant at first, but would then agree. However, he wouldn't mention anything to him about Tarniel, the plans for her, or her portrait up there (then - he can sort of be like - 'oh, what is this?' - or even just casually look at it - idly lifting any sheet that might be over it). PM me on it or with it if you like. We can get it in the works while the Sulawen post is still in the works.

Great post, Earniel and Val. Val I am also so looking forward to your Celebrindol-Malvegl Palantir talk! Now the things start to sort out. I propose to follow the following sequence: In Vorondariel's post #68 Gandalf proposed her to go see the top of the Tower. It was his idea and let us keep him as the initiator of the trip. So Gandalf has to find someone to lead them atop the Tower - someone authorised to go there: either one of the Wardens or someone from Arthedain royals. I don't think Gandalf is authorised go there all by himself - he is a honored guest at Amon Sul, but no more. So he stumbles upon Beleg, Armacil and Herunarth and asks Beleg to show him and Vorondariel to the roof. Beleg consents, Herunarth wants to come along and Duilin asks to take him as well. The Elves who happen to pass by join the company. So the group to go upstairs consists of Gandalf, Vorondariel, Beleg, Armacil, Herunarth and T&A elves. I believe the next post should be by Herunarth ( Duilin): Beleg re-joins the company of Herunarth and Armacil, all pensive. They ask what's wrong, but he is vague, only says Sulawen has reprimanded him. The boys go outside for some sparring, but suddenly Gandalf + the Elves appear and ask Beleg to lead them to the roof for sight-seeing. Beleg gracefully agrees. Herunarth is enthusiastic to see the view from Amon Sul tower and asks to be taken along. Duilin pleads to go also, following his master. Gandalf leads the whole big company to join the waiting Vorandariel. And after that Vorondariel's post No 71 shoud be re-posted, slightly edited to enlarge the company. Does it seem OK to all involved?

Haven't we decided that the stairs to the roof doesn't have DIRECT access to the palantir chamber?

Gordis - that sounds like an awfully big troop to bring along to see the top of the tower. Would it make more sense for most of those you name to go up with someone else instead? I think Beleg would rather keep the party small if he wanted to peek at the painting. He intended to go alone at first - but maybe didn't want to snub his new friend when that opportunity arose. But it's hard to see him taking another half dozen or more along...
