I'm waiting on Val and ELfhild in the Winter thread. I feel that I've done too many posts and the story is out of balance with my characters, so I'm holding off until others post more. I hope things will pick up soon!

I'll try real hard to get up a post in each thread, to help get you folks off of 'holding pattern'. I have something tomorrow evening, but the week may lighten up afterwards (as far as can be predicted). I'm also hoping that we'll pick it up now that our fearless leader is back.

There's a Gimilbeth placeholder in this thread, too.

Hello? Anybody out there?
(Also, why does it say the latest post is a post from November 21, 2007?)

Hello, Duilin! Great you are still around. I check the site every day, but haven't written in a long-long time. Luck of inspiration... and then nobody posts anyway... I guess I have to finish Gimilbeh's reply to Galphant. I shall try to do it soon. So - Let us continue the Amon Sul thread, Val and Duilin? Perhaps Earniel and Rian would like an additional Amon Sul character to make things livelier? What about the other thread - "Discontent"? To really continue we need both Angmar and Elfhild, but maybe we can at least finish this blasted Yule ball? Because one of us mods have deleted a spam post in an old thread. Now this thread looks as if it were updated but it isn't... Those spammers ...

I'm definitely up for continuing, but my plot threads are largely dependent on others posting, so I've to wait - I think we're waiting on Val for a couple of things.

I've done far more than my share of posting for my character (Caelen) and I think it's grown very lopsided with her, so I don't want to post again until some others do some posting. I'd like to continue, but I've grown weary of waiting.

Lack of inspiration... and then nobody posts anyway... I like to spread my posts since I only have secondary characters. Kirael recently got a post and I've got zero inspiration to do something with Wilwarin at the ball. It's be just a filler anyway. There's really no point in taking on new characters for me, I think. We've got so many characters with their own plots and storylines that more will just be detrimental to the story. I'd rather not do it if it doesn't add something good in the game. Amon Sûl is already teeming with existing characters as it is. We have to finish the main plots that we have, not bring up more side-issues, IMO. I'm afraid we're stuck until we can get a post from Val or Elfhild.

No, I meant not a new character (we do have enough!) - but to take one of the already existing ones. And not really to "take as your very own" but to post (occasionally) for a public character. For instance, Sulawen. I have posted for her (and Celebrimbor) once, but that was all. Actually, her animosity with Gimilbeth, her worry for her husband and now for her son who is to be married with Gimilbeth's sister (!) should be one of the main plotlines at Amon Sul. It will also somewhat enliven the political posts we are mostly having. Perhaps you, Earniel, or Rian could occasionally post for Sulawen, as I do for Daurendil. What do you say?

Hm, I suppose that is indeed a better option. It may not be story progress, but fleshing out a plot is better here than adding a new one. I shall have a look at the public characters to see if I can write something for them next time.
