Hmm. I forgot that Hurgon didn't bring Tarniel's abstract with him - somehow it seemed natural for him and his masterpiece to be in the same place. If you want, I could edit it so it IS actually the Gimilbeth painting; that actually would impress people with ugliness, if Hurgon was going for 'Essence of Gimilbeth'... I think that Hurgon might have indeed started to paint in secret "the essence of Gimilbeth" - to have an outlet for his frustration ;D Also it would be fun to write...

But would Hurgon get insulted at someone saying mean things about Gimilbeth?

Maybe he was more frightened than insulted - that the buddy would tell Gimilbeth about the portrait... ;D

Gordis - Yay! Barund gets his chance! ;D
I made 2 slight edits - to fix an 'italicize' where the '/' was missing, and to correct '961' to '861'.
Very good though! I wonder if any of Galphant's associates saw Barund go into Gimilbeth's room - or might see him slip out. Or even if he'll start telling tales about it later, after a few drinks.
It probably wouldn't be difficult for him to conjure up wild images in that setting - especially since he had first seen her with very little on.

I thught Barund could make this dry political issues a bit livelier... ;D I wonder what he will be able to retain from G's lecture to tell Amdir. It is possible that someone saw him or he would brag about it later over his ale. Make him do what you like, Val and Duilin! A Barund post, anyone? Also, note that I made it quite possible for Amdir to overhear the talk about Malvegil Duilin - any edits?

I've got no particular edits - any inaccuracies in Barund's account can be laid down to Barund being a moron. I'll have to think what Amdír might do with knowledge of Rhudaur's seeking help from Arthedain.
More broadly speaking, where to next? Should we have some more Galphant/Gimilbeth? Is it time for the Cardolani delegation's first Palantir session?

Also, Duilin, it is quite likely that Gimilbeth's unguarded words about Malvegil were overheard by more spies: Thurisind or Duilin for instance. Everyone knew that she had her Palantir talk with he King and likely various spies were hanging outside the tower or on the ramparts above hoping to learn more. More broadly speaking, where to next? Should we have some more Galphant/Gimilbeth? Is it time for the Cardolani delegation's first Palantir session? For November 17 we have to write: 1. A palantir-talk Malvegil-Celebrindol about the proposed marriage. Should happen right away - once they find Celebrindol and he gets up to the High chamber. His father is waiting. So, Val, please! 2. Maybe more Galphant-Gimilbeth in the afternoon/evening Maybe another walk along the ramparts, Duilin? Or maybe a dinner together with Hador and Edelbar (Gimilbeth's page) present? -I don't think she will take Barund along... And Herunarth would be a hindrance... 3. Barund talking with Amdir relating Gimilbeth's message - or what he retains of it ;D could be quite fun to write... 4. Either in the evening of Nov. 17, or Nov. 18 there should be a first Palantir training session of the Cardolan delegation. They could talk with the Warden of Fornost stone- Evendur. Did I forget something? And let us have the actual talk of the Cardolan delegation with Gondor as soon as possible. Will they talk directly to Romendacil - or to his Steward or a representative of the Council of Gondor?

A few thoughts. Firstly, Celebrindol might also want to discuss the Cardolan situation with his father.
I like the dinner idea for Galphant and Gimilbeth. I can do an Amdir post with Barund.
In terms of training sessions, mightn't it make more sense for the delegation to speak with the warden of the Osgiliath stone for their training session? I might just skip actually describing that, since it doesn't seem interesting - perhaps Galphant and Hador can just recap it briefly at their dinner with Gimilbeth.
I think their ultimate conversation with Gondor would probably be with the Steward or some other council member, at least for the initial conversation, which is basically just going to send the Gondorians to the archives to check up on things and make sure of their answer. If something interesting is discovered along the way, Romendacil might choose to discuss the issue with them personally for a second conversation.
Is Gimilbeth, by the way, going to be speaking with Romendacil, BTW? That, in and of itself, might be of interest to Galphant and Hador, since they want some means of speaking directly and privately to Romendacil themselves...

A few thoughts. Firstly, Celebrindol might also want to discuss the Cardolan situation with his father. Strange if he wouldn't discuss it, given his recent talk with Adrahil. But Malvegil is not very likely to agree even to Beleg... What do you thinkl, Val and Duilin? Please, do. And let us have this dinner. OK for me. OK Yes she was allowed by Malvegil to talk to Romendacil, so she will have this talk soon. She knows the King of Gondorl from her early childhood, and he used to be Tarnendur's friend. If Galphant thinks to persuade her to help him arrange his own secret interview with the King, he has to be ve-ery nice and promise her something interesting in return... like the Crown of Cardolan Now, about her talk with Romendacil - what do you think the King will say? Refuse to help flat out? Or maybe promise some money? Or promise to send his grand-nephew Castamir with a detachment of men sometime in spring?
