This thread is for anyone who wants to post information regarding their intentions for the development of their characters and the future of the plots they are involved in.

As some of you already know, i'm planning to keep Vorondariel at Amon Sul. My intention is that she will marry one of the 'staff' - ie. the librarian's son, the Warden's son, etc. She would from there become involved with the library, either as a librarian's assistant, or, as (eventually) the lady of the tower, actively involved in building the library's ancient book collection, or somesuch. I'm also thinking that here is where she will live and die. My initial idea has been that she dies when the tower is sacked, while defending the library, as it's written that none survive. Her last deeds would include throwing rare manuscripts from the windows in an attempt to save them from fire. As for deciding who she will marry, i found this listing for the Warden's son: Has anyone yet written for this character? Would his inventor consider passing him along to a new member for fleshing-out? In that event, would there be a possibility of re-characterizing, re-naming, or otherwise re-working him? I'm not saying we would definitely need to do this, just asking how far the process could go. I don't seem to remember him in the story so i'd imagine that anything's possible at this point? I could not find a name or listing for the librarian's son's character. Also, i am open to critiques of Vorondariel's proposed plot. I want to work realistically within the existing framework of the story, of course.

I think I invented him just to 'flesh out' the family. Remember - he will be Sulawen's brother. EDIT: I was going to ask where you saw that, but I found it quickly enough. Then I started searching for where I had used him. So far - I've found him in at least the first and last posts on the first page of the Amon Sul thread. Slight problem: in the latter, I make a reference to Annundil's daughter-in-law, indicating that Nonentir is married. However, I can change that if you want to use him. He was intended to be younger than Sulawen anyway - we could just make him that much younger. And she would not be old yet anyway. So he could easily be between 50-70 or so.

Remember - he will be Sulawen's brother. Oh my!!! That could be interesting!

I'll go look for that... Hmm... would you? I'm liking the idea that she could be a future Warden's wife. It seems to fit with her character and fit better with her social standing than marrying a librarian! Age does not matter to a descendant of Voronwen's Now, off to go play casting director and talk to our possible man for the job! ;D

It looks like there's not only a reference to a wife, but to children as well. It's only in one or two sentences, though. As long as it's still no problem to edit them out, we can go from there.
(I put my edit in a new post in case you didn't see the last one.)

OK - I thought I had made him a family man, but didn't scrutinize the post that closely yet.
Yes - I'll edit those posts. I'll check a little further to see if there are other references, but I think that's all.

Voronwen - where did you see mention of Nonentir's children? I thought I at least had in mind that he had them, but I didn't see them mentioned in those posts, or later posts in the thread.
Could you guide me to that? I didn't edit yet - I wanted to do it all at once.
Thanks.

Hi, Valandil! I'll get you the link in just a second... watch this space... (I haven't been on all day because we were out of town at my brother-in-law's wedding.) * * ETA * * The post with the kids is at the very bottom of this page here. The passage reads: Yay!! Vorondariel is going to have a husband.
