Guys and gals, it is time to start posting this sections on fanfiction archives. Please those who have time, start to read through it correcting mistakes. I hope you again can do some editing, Rian! You are brilliant at it!  Perhaps Voronwen can help also?  Your English seems impeccable... |

Perhaps Voronwen can help also? I'd be glad to help, but how would you like this done? How do the others do it? Copy/paste and then PM the finished product to you? Also which sections would be assigned to me for editing? I probably should mention as well that i've never proofread or edited anyone else's work before, so i cannot promise perfection..  Still, i would do what i can. |

Ah, but it is not as serious as that... At least we don't assign anything. The chapters are posted one by one, so now we have to look at the Chapter one. Just if someone has the time, he/she reads the next chapter to go attentively and then posts corrections in this very thread. If all is OK, then also please say so. If two of us read the chapter, all the better. You see, the problem is not only that everyone makes typos, but also that some of the writers who have English as second language, like I have, often make mistakes or some funny uses of expressions. If it is the case, the mistakes should be corrected and I am always happy to learn where I did wrong and why. For instance in my last post I thought long what to put: "Gimilbeth lowered her gaze and willed herself to blush in shame at her greedy subjects." or "for her greedy subjects. I still don't know which is correct. Please don't hesitate to correct me right away when the new post it up. I will be most grateful Also if you have a better title for a chapter, or think that some parts of the story don't fit or parts should be re-arranged, please suggest it. That is all there is to it, really. You are somewhat at a disadvantage now, Voronwen, as you are the only one here who is not a moderator and so you can't edit other's posts. The others can correct the text directly at least for typos and such. Normally we give mod status after at least 6 months here if not a year, but as you are such a reliable person, I hope Angmar gives you the mod status earlier. It will be quite handy for editing. So, please have a look at the chapter 1. |

As long as Voronwen hasn't reached mod-status yet, she can still help us correct if she wants to and has time to. She can do it the way I did before getting access to the editing-function: just copy and post the wrong part of the text together with a correction in a different colour into a post here in this discussion, and we can care of it.
That reminds me, Voronwen, has anyone mentioned or explained the scribe-account to you yet?
Gordis, I'll try and look over the first chapter when I have a bit of spare time on the computer.
