Rian:A couple lines of thought. 1. Maybe keep the apple purchase on Nov 3, the next day. After all, Caelen had to sleep to dream. Did she just have a nap, or sleep all night? OTOH - she might not see the same guy the next day, and she'd have to buy a LOT more apples if she went out early. 2. (I like this one better - what do you think?) Maybe have the post span over two days: Her dream comes in a nap on Nov 2, she runs out and buys the apples just when the sun is starting to set - but she has the delivery happen the next morning - Nov 3. The morning might be the best chance for him to catch E at home too. How do you like THEM apples? Moving to the next day also helps us advance the story - or at least the calendar. Either of those options I gave you sort of does that. Oh - actually, let me request one more edit. Maybe "father" isn't quite right. Eryndil could just address him as "good man" or "good fellow"... Do those work OK? Hmmm... I wonder... did the apple vendor have a brown cloak or anything??? PS: Yeah - Eryndil was due to start "working" on about Nov 2 - but it could have been a half-day or something, we could see. Esp since Oct 30 & Nov 1 would both be sort of "holidays" - though I doubt people took off work or anything - there may just have been different things to do (oh - and there's no Oct 31). Gordis: do you think King Tarnendur purposely waited until Gimilbeth's departure on Nov 1 before assembling his new group of helpers, who were all to be "faithful"?

Thanks Rian, for the prompt edit. I know you didn't mean it . Really liked the Caelen post - the one with the apples. ;D Good joke. Gimilbeth, ooh creepy stranger... oh, well, its just Nauremir! I'll get up a post sometime tomorrow. Its very late, and I have a busy day ahead. Its New Years Day in Bangladesh, so Shubho Noboborsho everyone!! Throw out the trash and start anew! (thats sort of the New Year motto around here. Sounds funny when translated)

But please, don't forget he now has an ugly beard and his hair is cropped short like commoners wear. Val: Maybe - and also he knows that Gimilbeth only believes in foreign help (from Arthedain, Gondor or even Angmar), but not in Rhudaurian "inner resources".

Why is this so? Does Gimilbeth not trust any "home-grown" talent at all? It seems like bad policy to only invite foreigners in like this... putting ALL the foxes in charge of the henhouse.

Very interesting new post, Val - I like your precise descriptions, as usual. However, I am sorry, but you will have to choose another name of your head servant. There is one Sarador in this RPG already - the Chief Surgeon - Sarador the Vulture, The one who has nearly embalmed poor Nauremir. ;D It will be too confusing to have 2 different guys with the same name. Gimilbeth despises all the northerners, both Dunedain and Hillmen, thinking them rustic as compared to the Numenoreans of the South. She never feels at home in Rhudaur. And she doesn't believe in the Faithful. Also, unlike the King, she is not interested in keeping the status quo. She wants to become Queen, that means she wants both Daurendil and Amantir out of the picture.

Thanks Gordis - and OOPS! I thought I made that name up this morning while I was posting. I totally forgot the surgeon's name - and I'll change it soon (once I think of a good name) - unless the guy "moonlights"... (idiomatic US expression that he works a second job in off hours)

Well if he does, be wary - he is obsessed with his surgical saw! ;D You can make the servant Barador (from Barad-) only one letter to change

I've just posted for Nauremir. So we have a deposed nobleman on the loose. Sounds very mysterious and all. I like all the new intrigues. I always was a fan of Grima. ;D Now we have three-way (at least) plotting to take over the kingdom of Rhudaur - the Witch-king, Broggha, and Gimilbeth. Belzagar and others are probably candidates, too. I just had a thought: what if Gimilbeth had some qualm against Nauremir's family, and Broggha wounding Nauremir just happened to fall into her plans. Now she has Nauremir's family neutralized, as everyone thinks Nauremir is dead. If Gimilbeth wants to take over the kingdom, she probably would be trying to replace those loyal to her father with ones loyal to her, or at least influence them and win them over to her side.
