Yes - and when she said that Hurgon would "rue his lenience for the rest of his days" - I thought she might have added something like; "which would likely be few enough... indeed!"

Gordis - I can't quite picture Callon walking across the courtyard with a tankard of ale in his hand - I think he would have better manners than that, and drink in the drinking areas and with friends. Could you please take that bit out? Or if you envisioned everyone kind of milling around with drinks in the courtyard, add something to that effect? And wouldn't he address G as "your highness", or "my lady", and not shrug his shoulders nonchalantly (again, kinda rude, esp. to a princess!) I think he would speak and act a little more deferentially around her. Thanks ps - go ahead and post the next chapter - the one that I rewrote - I'll remove the old one. pps - loved the "knock him on the head" bit! Valandil - thank you very much for your comments on the post. The householder position is exactly what I was thinking of, but I had forgotten the term. Thank you!!

: : Val ... Unconciously, you seem to have made two of the kids scared stiff and one mute, and there is a half-wit there, too, which makes me wonder just what our chief embalmer has been threatening them with... lol. Well - the kids were small, and it was more that the head servant wasn't acknowledging their presence. As for the mute - one less person to think of witty dialog for. Meanwhile... ARGHHH!I just wasted at least an hour of composing a post to wrap up my Eryndil placeholder. I wanted to post something from a PM in my Valandil account into the Eryndil post - but it didn't follow along when I switched users. So - I opened two "internet explorers" and signed up for Eryndil in one and opened the post - then signed up as Valandil in the other and copied the portion of PM. Bingo - it worked, and I went on and wrote the rest of the post. But when I hit "Post Reply" - it wouldn't update - because it had logged me out as Eryndil and I was only logged in as Valandil (in both explorers). Bummer! Sigh... I'll re-write it, but not tonight. Gordis - once I get that one complete, I want to keep Eryndil in the present with everyone else (he's already made an appearance there. ) - and I'll have just one more "past-post" - one for Beleg that I'd like to date about October 18 or 20 - when he's on the road, nearing Amon Sul. I suspect it goes best in Game II? It'll have some amounts of "intrigue" in it anyway.

But you should always save a copy of your post in Word before hitting the post button. Just make: CTRL-A -select all, then CTRL-C - copy all, then go to Word and do CTRL-V and Save. Takes only a few sec. And even when there is a bug, hitting the "back" button in Explorer helps - you return to the window where your post is typed and still can copy and save it. I advise to date it around Oct 20-21, then it fits nicely between two long sequences in "Intrigues":the feast (19) and the council(23).

aaaargh!!! I'm sorry, Gordis, I accidentally hit "edit" for this post of yours instead of "quote"!!! I'll try to reconstruct it as much as I can. Unfortunately, I deleted the bit you wrote about C&C's home Sorry!! I wasn't quite awake yet The posting faeries are having a field day with Val and me! Rian- I have edited the post as asked. Is it OK now? By the way, Rian, it was Serenoli who sent Callon to drink ale in her previous post. Don't forget to mention it when you post for Callon. Now I wonder, will there be Callon-Nauremir scene? ;D (rest of post accidentally deleted by a sleepy Rian )

And - yup, I know how to copy and paste. But I DID try to go "back" - but it wouldn't let me. I was just no longer logged in as Eryndil - so in some ways, it's curious I still had the post open. I THOUGHT I was able to edit it, but it was never going to "take" - because I wasn't Eryndil any more. Oh well - each system has its things, I'm sure. Hmmm... and interesting way to try it, just so I save the contents, might be to do the same procedure I did before (with two explorers), but after copying the contents I want from a Valandil PM into an Eryndil post, I could go back to the "Valandil" explorer, log out, and log back in as "Eryndil" on that one. I suspect the post still wouldn't take, but it would be interesting to try (just so I'm not risking unpreserved material). Oh - and I may go for October 20 for Beleg's post then. I want him still a little out from Amon Sul, and I was figuring he'd get there about Oct 22... unless they stay in Bree longer than planned, but that seems unlikely in late fall.

Rian- I have edited the post as asked. Is it OK now? It's great - thanks! Yes, I was a bit surprised at first, but then I figured that there would probably be drinks set out for the men somewhere and they'd all avail themselves of that. He doesn't get drunk, but a refreshing drink with some friends after a long trip is fine. I just didn't think he'd be walking around with it. Probably a reaction to some of my younger nieces and nephews, who come and visit and get snacks and walk all over the house with them - I'm trying to break them of that habit! ("eat the food in the kitchen, please!") I don't know - what's the general consensus - should he be found or not? Or better yet, maybe Annarima will be willing to take Nauremir, and then she can decide

[I don't know - what's the general consensus - should he be found or not? Or better yet, maybe Annarima will be willing to take Nauremir, and then she can decide Tsk-tsk, Nauremir is Elfhild's very own character! You should ask Elfhild, Rian if she wishes Nauremir to be found or not. And Annarima is thinking to take Daurendil. Val, what sleepy Rian accidentaly deleted was this: CC's estate - Tanoth Methed - is situated in the upper valley of Sir Methed - the western tributary of Mitheithel that flows into it just north of the Last Bridge (Iant Methed). But Tanoth Methed is in the UPPER valley - far from the Last bridge, in fact almost on the same latitude as Cameth Brin, but far Westwards across the Hoarwell. So, it made sense for CC's to go East and North to try to hit the main Road from Pennmorva to Cameth Brin (somewhere near Morva Torch) and thus cross the Mitheithel. The alternative was to go South, cross the Last Bridge and then remount North via Brochenridge. This way is a bit longer.

*hits the QUOTE button, not the MODIFY button* Tsk-tsk, Nauremir is Elfhild's very own character! You should ask Elfhild, Rian if she wishes Nauremir to be found or not. And Annarima is thinking to take Daurendil. See, I really AM sleepy - I'm mixing up Daurendil and Nauremir! Sheesh! Anyway, Elfhild - what do you want to do? Do you want Nauremir found or not? Oh, and Serenoli just said Callon left for a drink - maybe he just meant water, and Hurgon just took it to mean something stronger! ("I could really use a drink!")
