Ah, Angmar! Thank you for putting in the logo! I think it looks fine. The site feels really homely now with the dragons and all...

I liked both the dragons AND the news fader... very cute, and definitely very homesy. And, Angmar, it just feels good to be back with you guys... thanks again *wipes away tear* Serenoli, it's great to have you back with us. The forum just didn't seem right without you. Now when Rian gets through with moving and unpacking, things will seem really homesy. Gordis, I really like your work on the bigger banner. Thanks so much for your hard work on that, maps, and all the other things you do!

Gordis, I really like your work on the bigger banner. Thanks so much for your hard work on that, maps, and all the other things you do! Well, Angmar, it was just a little work, not like with maps... Also a pleasure as always with pictures. I am happy you liked it. But I have found out that my Windows don't have that marvelous ancient-looking font you used to write :"the Northern Kingdom" I want this font! Could you, please, check what it is called (font name), I shall try to download it from the web.

Gordis, the font is called Old English. It comes with many of the earlier Macintosh computers. I'm not sure if there is a Windows equivalent, but there are many places where you can download or buy fonts that are similar. Dover Publications sells CDs of unusual or old fashioned style fonts. Unfortunately, I do not know of any sites where you can download them for free.

You could ask GreyWolf from entmoot. I remember he mailed that font to me once long ago, and I'd send it to you too, but I can't figure out how to attach it in this website. Anyway, he might know where to get it.

Thank you, Serenoli. And thank you again, Angmar. Of course I did find the fonts (3 similar to "Old English") on the web - for free. There is everything there! Now I have made 2 more versions of the banner - a wee bit larger 720 pixels wide instead of 700. Also I removed some background imperfactions. Here they are - please, choose the one you like better. The fonts are slightly different. Angmar, the url addresses differ in one digit only: carndum_banner1.jpg is currently in use carndum_banner2.jpg is the upper one in this post carndum_banner3.jpg is the lower one in this post
