That is a pretty good one. I've been nosing about some over there and just started going through their reading room. I'll let you know if I find anything good.

Yes - I think I saw your journal posted over there first, didn't I? Say Arassuil - are you interested in joining our game? There are a lot of characters floating around - both major and minor. Anything that would suit your tastes?

Yes, I posted it over there a few weeks ago. I been a member on Torc since about a year ago, but don't get on much. Except for a few people, it seems a bit of a 'closed shop'.
I'm not too good about writing scripted characters. Usually in RP I have to "own" the character and the story has to be somewhat freeform. That said, I've been looking at a couple RP tales started on Torc that interest me and am working on developing a character for one of them. I've given thought about joining your tale in some minor fashion, but can't seem to fit myself in as yet. I get the feeling the perspective is from the nobility, while I am more likely write from the perspective of a 'grunt' or low-level commander. Still, I have been interested in getting involved in some capacity, and I'm hoping time will allow it. Things have been rather busy for me at times of late.

Arassuil, you are more than welcome to develop your own character for the siege of Dol Hithlaer, either as one of the Hillmen in Broggha's group, or an orc, or really just any character you could come up with that would fit in with the siege.
The back story is that Broggha, the leader of the Hillmen, was verbally sparring with King Tarendur (as usual). The King gave Broggha a real challenge - to reclaim the fortress of Dol Hithlaer from the orcs. However, unknown to the king, the battle will be rigged, with its outcome already decided by the King of Angmar. The orcs will quietly leave the fortress, as though they are afraid, and Broggha will be triumphant. Broggha and his army (about 500) will return to Cameth Brin as heroes, giving Broggha more power than ever.
A side story involves Nauremir and his two friends, Hammadhael and Ruscon, who are attempting to assassinate Broggha. However, Broggha's life is protected by a spell of the Witch-king, and all attempts to assassinate him will fail. As part of this story, Ruscon was captured by the Hillmen when he was spying in their camp. As I have said, feel free to join in with your own character.

: : ... However, Broggha's life is protected by a spell of the Witch-king, and all attempts to assassinate him will fail... I didn't realize this was part of what was going on. * gets out his canons * I don't think the W-K should be able to make someone 'kill-proof'. He couldn't even do that for HIMSELF (nor could Sauron do it for him - or for himself either). So I don't think there's any way he could to it for another person - at a great distance away. I think that crosses over, and makes the W-K (or, Ringwraiths in general) too powerful. That's my opinion. Maybe it belongs in a different thread, but this is the one where the statement was made that I'm responding to. What do the rest of you think?
