Happy Erulaitalë! All we have to go on is that it was celebrated "in midsummer". I'm not sure if that means the summer solstice itself, or not (and if so, then we've missed it by a couple of weeks ). But, all the same...! Anyone care to go climb the Meneltarma?

Thanks, Voronwen. Happy Erulaitalë to you! Anyone care to go climb the Meneltarma? Nope...thanks. It is so old-fashioned, nobody does it anymore.

But, all the same...! Anyone care to go climb the Meneltarma? From what I can tell of JRRT's calendars, I think that Erulaitale is the Summer Solstice - so we're a little late. There really SHOULD be something in 'mid-summer' though. I'll climb the Meneltarma with you... just so it isn't 3319 SA!

I'll climb the Meneltarma with you... I'd expect no less out of one from the line of the Lords of Andúnië! Your grandfather and great-grandfather would be proud! Oh, heavens no!!! I was thinking more along the lines of 3301, or something... Or a bit earlier perhaps!

Well, Happy September 22, everyone! ;D
Don't forget this is not only the starting day of LOTR, but also of "The Shadow over Rhudaur". Congratulations - we almost made it to the New Year. ;D

And it's also the first full day of Fall.

Or maybe not full day... I heard on the radio that the equinox happens at 4:18 our time (Central Standard). So I guess... if we go out and look at the sun just then, we'll know that it is DIRECTLY over the Equator.
