After Arnor's division, I propose that Arthedain went with the crown and seven stars (no tree - that's in Gondor!) on a field of deep blue - to which they switched from the black used by Arnor. I've always envisioned Rhudaur with deep reds: rust-orange, purple, burgundy, maroon. Maybe one of those for the kings and another for the princely line. But we don't have to do that. It's Cardolan that I envision using green - maybe an emblem with green and gold... Gordis: is that Rhudaur emblem from Iron Crown?

Val: No, not Iron Crown - it was my own idea. But I like your idea of a maroon background very much. I will use it. I have put the Arthedain banner in the list above.

Banner of Cardolan? - maybe an emblem with green and gold... Duilin?Banner of Angmar? Angmar? I think you mentioned it was black and red, but no details. Maybe it should contain the Iron Crown of the rightful King of the West ? Also, is Broggha's banner OK, or you prefer another bear? Val - the crown in Arthedain banner. Was it a winged silver one as in Gondor, or not? Also: 7 silver many-rayed stars? When you tell me what you prefer, I will make the picture Please post your suggestions, comments etc.

Arthedain: AT first I thought - yet, winged. BUT - since this was a modification made long after Elendil, let's instead make it a circlet with a gem in front (like the elendilmir worn there). Can the seven stars for this one be in a sort of arc?

I have no specific thoughts for Cardolan's banner. If an element is to be added to the Arnor flag, a ship might make sense.
There's also the issue of the banner of the Prince of Brandywine...but I leave the details to others.

I think it is only in Cardolan that a ship would be probable. How about leaving a ship for the prince of Baranduin? here is my proposal: Presumably, before the division the main color was black, but then it was changed for the green of cardolan. The star of Earendil leading the ship. As for Cardolan , I have modified one Cardolan banner found on the web (see ref below). I have put no crown, as the King is dead with no heirs, but left the 7 stars for Dunedain. What do you think? Val, here are 3 versions for Arthedain. And here is a site with Eriador banners I have found. Might be a source of "inspiration". www.taivaansusi.net/roolipelit/lindefirion/eriador_flags.html

Also, is Broggha's banner OK, or you prefer another bear? Gordis, I think the banner for Rhudaur and Broggha are magnificent. Great work on your part. Yes, I have always used black and red as the colors of the kingdom of Angmar. I think the crown would be a great addition.

I am glad you liked the banners, Angmar.
But what design for the Angmar banner do you prefer? What is red there and what is black? And what about the crown - I think it should be of steel, thus almost white? Give me some ideas, please!
