Another month, and still the button is broken. *sigh* Is there nothing we can do to fix it?!

Yes - everyone vote! Voronwen - have you done this? (you too can become a 'voting member' of the Northern Kingdom) Maybe so, because we already have a lot of votes this month!

Voronwen - have you done this? No... What is this all about?

Voronwen - have you done this? No... What is this all about? This is about the Tolkien Top 100 web site. Other sites can register there. People can vote on their favorite web site among those registered. We registered there early on with Northern Kingdom, and have been fairly aggressive at voting for ourselves - hoping that a high ranking will draw fans, and even writers. We have a "brown button" on the front page (just below the logo) that we used to be able to click for a vote. But somehow, it is not registering votes now. However - you can vote by clicking the link supplied by Gordis. It is set up to vote for Northern Kingdom. It will take you to a screen with options: Enter and Vote OR Enter Without Voting. If you click on "Enter and Vote" - the site records your vote and shows you the top sites in the standings. We're usually running about #2 or #3. But early this month, we've taken off to a nice little lead. Everyone can vote once per day. I'm going now to get my vote in.

I'm not really convinced we get much out of voting. I don't remember it bringing in any new members or anything. I did use it as an excuse to visit daily, even if the posts had dried out. Clicking a button was easy, but I'm growing a little tired of hunting down the voting link in here every day. I think I'm going to sit it out this time, until it gets repaired.

Thanks for the explanation, Valandil. I'll go and vote.

The voting button should be fixed now.

I don't know why the company didn't inform the webmasters of the change in vote address. The last time I checked, the codes listed in the user panel were the ones that no longer work. I also wonder how so many webmasters figured out how to get the correct address.
