Angmar - I think that changed slightly. Your Broggha posts at Dol Mithlad in the Game Thread went to a definite Nov 9, and see Gordis' reply #157 on Page 16 of the Discussion Thread for confirmation of the date to arrive at Dol Hithlaer. I will offer this revised calendar:
THE CALENDAR FOR THE EVENTS IN THE NORTH
November 28 - Broggha's 500-man plus army leaves Cameth Brin. This contingent also includes the venerable General Nimruzir, his small staff, and his escort of 20 men (plus attendants - number is vague - can be adjusted); Lord Belzagar, Lord of Dol Duniath, his small staff and an escort of 30 (Belzagar is cautious) and attendants (number here is also vague); and Merendil with 100 men from the Rhuduarian army.
December 4 - The army reaches Dol Duniath, the ancestral home of the lords of Dol Duniath. Lord Belzagar rallies 100+ of his own men-at-arms. The army rests here two days.
December 6 - The army resumes marching. (Journey to Imlad Mitheithel to take 3 days.)
December 8 - Broggha's army arrives at Dol Mithlad. (Note: Dol Mithlad is the city/fortress/estate - Imlad Mitheithel is the region)
December 9 - Meeting with the Seneschal of Imlad Mitheithel to collect another 100-200 men. Army rests one day, then resumes marching north.
December 10 - The army resumes marching.
December 10 - 20 - This period covers the actual march to Dol Hithlaer. The route the army will be following will be the scarcely visible road that skirts the foothills of the Misty Mountains, taking 11 days to reach Dol Hithaer.
Around December 20-22 - Broggha's army finally reaches Dol Hithaer.
NOTE FROM ANGMAR - This is the final, corrected version of the calendar as of November 21, 2007. (We hope. *grins*)

Val, in Gordis' latest post, #192, she suggests December 20-22 for Broggha's arrival at Dol Hithlaer.
In regard to your question, "And doesn't poor Merendil have to join the campaign?" I thought he did, too, but I cannot find the specific post which has the details on this. Help, someone?

Oh, I don't insist on it - choose your arrival date as it suits you better, Angmar. About Merendil - it was in my post about the Council meeting where the Northern campaign was decided upon. The King has promised to send Merendil with reinforcements to Broggha (when M returns from Brochenridge). It is unclear yet whether the King did so or not, and if he did, whether he sent M with the main body of the troops or later - with additional men. Actually a Merendil post is in order, Val! And here is the Map: i14.photobucket.com/albums/a337/Gor-Dis/DolMithlad.jpg

So - instead of Merendil following behind Broggha, he would have just accompanied him. Do I REALLY need to do a Merendil post? I have enough of a backlog - and for now, there's nothing exciting to report. ;D I think we could just figure he's off with the army, in charge of 100 or so Rhudaurian soldiers of Cameth Brin.
