As for the reasons for the trip, once Beleg-Tarniel betrothal is finalized, Arthedain will send some official representatves to Cameth Brin to bring Tarniel back to Fornost to be fostered at the court, as agreed upon. Vorondariel can be assigned lady-in-waiting to Tarniel to keep her company from now on as a representative of Arthedain.

I like it At this point, i will be writing for Nolentir myself, until further notice at least, he'll be a NPC. Perhaps this could even cause a meeting between Vorondariel and Tamyris! Oh, this could, indeed, be interesting........! ;D

Earniel just reached me thru Entmoot. I think I'm finally strong enough to start writing again, if other people will start writing, too. We started a new anti-inflammatory med, and I think we're finally on the right track after a whole lot of pain and disability.

I've been stopping in almost daily - until I took a couple 2-day trips in succession from Friday to Monday. I saw the postings here, but wasn't sure yet how I wanted to respond.

For a long time I came in daily and voted. Until I realized I was almost the only one still doing it, at which point I became less frequent at it.

I'm not sure how much I'm needed at this point. If I were to work on something, what should it be?

I have only re-read one thread: the Amon Sul one. There, I think ,you can consider to write about Beleg looking at Tarniel's portrait - either stealthily, or not.

If I remember correctly, you were planning on having Celebrindol talk to his father about Gimilbeth's proposal to marry Tarniel off to Beleg, and/or a conversation where Celebrindol talks to his son about it. Or possibly only having Celebrindol talk to Beleg and refer to a off-screen discussion between Celebrindol and the King.

Val, if you're doing the Malvegil/Celebrindol scene, could you look at

this post?

In it, Adrahil, the most pro-Arthedain of my Cardolani noblemen, who is a former envoy to Fornost and friends with Celebrindol, talks to Celebrindol about the Cardolani succession and suggests the possibility that Beleg might be made king of Cardolan, to guarantee future reunification but delay it until Cardolan is ready. In the post, Celebrindol says he'll think about it, and maybe talk to his father about it.

I don't know if you want to have him actually pursue it or not (or just ignore Cardolan stuff entirely). Maybe he knows his father won't go for it so he doesn't bother to bring it up. But I wanted to make sure you were aware of it.

Perhaps they'll get betrothed and go on a holiday together. Yes/No?

I'm thinking that there will be some other 'official' reason for their being there, though, so.....

I like this. It's too easy to just write them in as a romance. I want there to be some tension (ie. ok, they're madly in love, but their duty to the state creates some delays, etc). But i am looking forward to writing their wedding Don't worry, it won't be like the other wedding in the story, by a longshot - very different, and not as much of a big deal. More glossed-over, a little vingette. Or maybe they'll just elope. I haven't decided yet.

Haha, here i go thinking out loud again. Some things never change.
