I was browsing through the Reading Room over on TORC (The One Ring dot Com) and came across a series of shorts called The Tales of the Fall of Arnor. I was curious if they were posted by anyone from here. To me, they kind of have the same sort of feel the RP here has, but lacking much detail. I've read a couple, and the basics seem interesting. It just needs some 'meat'. Here are the links : In fetching the urls, I noticed the 'chapters' are written by two different people.

Not me. I hadn't seen those before over there. I never have my Dunedain call themselves "rangers" though. It's pretty clear to me that those in Bree use the term derisively, so I don't think they would have called themselves that.

Yeah, it seemed an oddity to me in the title of the 2nd one. I though tthe writing was shaky in the first two, but improved in the third and even more so in the fourth. I think they're thinking the 'Ranger' term may have had more meaning in Arnor than the derisive definition used by the men of Bree, which is also something I'm exploring in a tale I've been writing.

I have finally read the tales in question. Not bad at all... quite interesting in fact - once you disregard the lame first chapter. Thank you for posting the links, Arassuil!

Sadly, Jon has scrapped the old TORc site in favor of a paid patreon site. Lame.

I have a group on RP Repository called 'Library of AnnĂºminas' where I have been gathering the lore and tales that I had saved from the web throughout the last 25 years. A good thing I saved what I did as many if not most of the old sites have crumbled into ruin over the years and many many stories have been lost. I'm currently on the old 'Arwen Undomiel' forum salvaging fanfics and roleplays before the place collapses from being overrun by spambots. Anyway, I highly recommend joining RP Repository as it is a safe well moderated site and the groups are allowed a high level of anonymity.
