Gordis, it looks like getting account turned out to be a lot more difficult than I thought. Thanks for your patience on this. I know how difficult things online sometimes can be.

Gordis, the avatar looks great... sometimes you just have to mutilate the bodies to make them fit... a hack here, a slash there will do nicely. ;D

Gordis, to make the av smaller, you could try removing the second frame of my avatar, thus making it stationary and not animated. I don't know if this would work or not, but give it a shot. Surprisingly, removing a frame doesn't reduce the size much - only by mere bytes, if at all. Because if I remove one of your frames that is 0.3 sec long I increase the time for your second frame from 0.3 to 0.6 and so the size of the file remains roughly the same. But I have gained much removing the NKW frame that was played for 0.7 sec and putting the NKW letters on the Carn Dum picture. And the only way I found to reduce the size dramatically is to reduce the number of indexed colors. So we are now at 64 only. Pity, it looked better with 256. Unfortunately, I am a novice at making animations. That's why I find it so challenging. Perhaps there are other, simpler means I haven't yet found. BTW what program do you use for animations, Elfhild? I use Adobe Image Ready 7.0 and I find the Help there very badly written - co complicated as to be practically of no use. Could you recommend a better program?

Gordis, actually I've never made an animation. I just guessed that if one of the cells was taken out, it would make the size of the file smaller.

Thanks, Elfhild. I am quite a novice at it and for me it is full of surprises. I never know what to expect.

Hey all, Rían was kind enough to inform me of the new address (or was it a hint that I had been away too long? ) and I realised I dropped away rather suddenly last year after my 'resigning' from the game. You can blame a move, a renovation and the cruel universe in general for that. Anyway, thanks for all the kind words, and the appreciation of my one bear-post, it was very heart-warming. If you ever need another hand in writing a scene with an animal, I'll gladly be of service (I have a great walking wildlife dictionary available in the form of my dad) even if I won't be playing my own character. I hereby faithfully promise to visit a little more often. Now I'm off to read what's new on the game.

Hi, Earniel - glad to see you! If you read the story, please leave us comments - what you think is good and what you don't like- what is dull, what is too long and what is unclear. It will be VERY helpful when we prepare the text for publication. Animal post? Anytime you feel like it! There are Angmar's ravens - why not write about them? Or horses? Also we have been discussing the eventual end of Wilwarin - it will be great if you could contribute to that. Maybe feed her to wolves? (well, it was a silly suggestion, don't get offended ) It is cheering to see you here!

Hello Earniel! Great seeing you here and don't take so long to visit next time. If you want to write about an animal, or anything else for that matter, or just want to comment or visit, feel free.

Hey, guys, I've just noticed this thread on The Tolkien Forum: www.thetolkienforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=59Member Web Sites: If you maintain a Tolkien related site you'd like to announce, this is the place to do so. --I am a member there, so are Val and Alcuin. Perhaps we should put a thread about our site? If so, what to write? Any suggestions for a captivating info? Especially you, Angmar - please, I am not good at it at all.
