Not that I want to keep people out of the kitchen (far from it! a chance for interaction is always fun) but is it logical that so many people would descent upon the kitchen for drinking? With the three delegations, there's going to be a great deal of people packed in Amon Sul, a lot of them will be wanting a drink but they can't all get in the kitchens to linger and drink. Wouldn't it be more logical there was some sort of 'common room' in the guest house where guests could spend most of their day when they weren't on duty?
With three delegations around, and the big feast in the future, I reckon the kitchen staff will be kept busy, and I don't see them tolerate many stragglers in their way. I could see Hurgon charm Narian into letting him sit in the kitchen and sample Kirael's mead for a while. And Duilin and Turisind may try to approach Hurgon here as there would be more privacy than in the guest quarters. And the staff might be curious enough to let the Elves drop in for a visit once in a while. But I don't see them, Barund, the Cardolanean delegation, the entire Dwarf-group and others enmass in the kitchen whole day.
What do you guys think?

You are right, Earniel. I actually didn't mean for anybody to go into the kitchens proper - but I imagined a sort of a common dining-hall, like a monastic refectory or a soldiers' mess, and that would be near the Kitchens. Who would want to carry dishes, especially "flying" pigs far? I think there should be two separate dining halls: a soldier's mess and a dining hall for commoners and lesser nobles where our company could have dinner and get drunk later. Maybe there was even a pub somewhere? Unlikely though, with those Arthedain guys...

Okay, I've posted the Duilin post - I sent him to a dining hall of the sort you suggest, where Thurisind has been regaling Hurgon and Callon with tales, and Aegnor and Amdír (sadly excluded from the main dinner) are chatting with Barund. So far, still mostly setup, as I'm not sure what we want to do yet.
Also a Galphant post - mostly recapping the dinner from his POV, but advanced it a bit further. He's tried to avoid an uproar over Gimilbeth's remarks by opening a discussion on something less inflammatory, like Angmar.

Very good posts, Duilin.
"but the one is too drunk, and the other isn't drunk enough!" ;D
Angmar...Less inflammatory...hmm... ;D
Gimilbeth has a Sindarin name all right - Menelien, but few remember it, as it is seldom used. Perhaps someone (Barund? or more likely Celebrindol) could enlighten Galphant on the matter.
Please continue someone (Val, Duilin?) - Gimilbeth will not comment on Angmar, but instead she will listen eagerly to learn more.

Celebrindol would seem the most likely to say something about Angmar, I think? Unless Mithrandir wants to jump in.

Then let us leave it to Val... Maybe Cel will start and Gandy will voice his opinion - he came right from there. Angmar - would you like an Amon Sul character maybe, now that your Internet troubles are over. I miss your input here!

I think Duilin was willing to give away some of his characters, keeping the principal ones. Was there a list somewhere, Duilin? Also you might take an assistant warden. Or maybe Barund. Or even somebody unusual... like Calafornien ;D
