Serenoli and Val, I don't think we should make the Seneschal another villian - Eru knows we have them already aplenty. Let us make him a patriot, hoping for a better fate for the Princes family and the Imlad Mitheithel lands. He is willing to accept Daurendil, or Amantir, as his Lord, once one of them marries Odare, but he can't help to think that this way, being integrated into the King's family, the Princes would use their authonomy forever. He dreams what if he would be allowed to marry Odare and become the next Prince - but those are just dreams. He may be around 100, a man in his prime long remaining unwed. I think Broggha has no authority to dismiss the Seneschal - but he will denounce Aegremir to the King as traitor. Then Aegremir will likely be summoned to Cameth Brin to give an account of his actions to the King. Then he might try to enlist Odare to his side, especially if he learns that she has quarelled with Daurendil and the King and her hand is therefore free... How does this sound?

Don't worry, Gordis, he's not going to be an evil guy. A very honourable nice type, I think. Just someone who resents Rhudaur's authority, and maybe doesn't think Amantir or Daurendil would make good leaders. Right now, like you said, he's dreaming. If Tarnendur listens to Broggha and gets rid of him, then Aegremir will be pushed over the edge to the extent that he will approach Odare - but if Odare agrees, she's going to need some help, too, and thats where proposals to any of the other kingdoms might come in, to support their claim to Mitheithel, in short, because T. will be against it.
Well, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Whatever he tries, we already know its not going to work.
But I like your idea about Daurendil and Odare breaking off, and I think I'll go work on that now.

And we're always adding more. *grins* No, I don't think the seneschal should be a villian either. Of course, Broggha would like to dismiss him. He wants to dismiss any Rhudaurian who doesn't go along with his plans, but he has no authority to do so. That would have to come from the king. The sceneschal will be providing 100 troops, which Broggha will use in the fake siege. After he comes back from "liberating" Dol Hithlaer, he will be putting in his long-range plans to get rid of petty lords like Aegremir after he gets rid of the king.

Right, Angmar - it it is so much easier to make the King himself eliminate those pesky little lords before the King gets eliminated himself ;D. I think, Aegremir had tried once or twice to liberate Dol Hithaer, but found the fortress inpregnable and the orcs far too strong. He will say as much to Brogga. But the Hillmen will sneer at him and call him traitor. Then when Hithaer falls so very easily, Broggha will be proven right.

Gordis, I hope that someone takes the character of Aegremir for the trip north. Whether someone writes for him or he is a public character, he could be a very interesting person. When Broggha discredits him before the king, all his hopes are going to go crashing to the ground. Opportunities for some good drama there.

Gordis - I also like the plan you present. It fits well even with the upcoming plot twist I have in those regards.
Serenoli - you mentioned about revising the post which describes the death of Odare's father... where exactly is that anyway?

Serenoli and Elfhild - here is the angry Daurendil going to interrupt your lovely little talk. ;D I hope you will write the following scene between you two. Use Daurendil as you like- he is very pissed and not very coherent right now. Gordis
